Garden Hose Wrangler

garden hose

Summer garden’s best friend

My watering the garden consists of an old man with a hose. Hand watering means I deliver water directly to plants that need it the most, but it also means I am out in the garden a LOT. I don’t exactly waste my time while I stand there. I play “I spy” with weeds and pests, do a little pruning and deadheading, and think about happy hour.

Nothing is as frustrating as a tangled hose, especially 100′ of hose. Those neat, perfect coils always amaze me. Am I the only gardener who finds them prone to tangle and tedious? May I suggest the figure of eight, quick to coil, easy to uncoil (tangle free). I admit, not so neat, but beauty is as beauty does.
