The Importance of Garden Photos

I was not an early adopter of technology. For years, I found no time for garden photos. What was I thinking? I love having this iPhone camera. It provides me with a handy, easy reference.
Where did I plant those bulbs? Take a picture.
What planting combination worked, or failed? Document.
Plant labels? Better take time to make a photo record when you put that plant into the ground.
Mostly sunny or mostly shady? Take several photos throughout the day to help you assess exposure.
Even if I don’t develop a file, I have a handy set of photos (if I can find them). Why, just this morning I compared a clump of Indian Pinks to the same clump last year. Twice as big! That extra watering produced lots more viable seedlings.
