Aptly named, Peacock Moss is a frothy, fern-like, blue-green iridescent ground cover for shade. Mine is on a little island bed with three Japanese maples, some blue carex, and a few bulbs, planted through a grit mulch. Once established, she thrives on neglect while choking out the weed seedlings. The storms of winter will flatten her, and by early spring I am removing old foliage with my fingers, kinda like brushing the hair of a fuzzy dog. But none of that today. I just stand back and admire this little show off.
