The doors open at 11:00 am on Thursday, to the grand Antiques at the Gardens annual weekend at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. I was there today, and from the looks of things, it is going to be a weekend of beautiful floral displays and lectures, to elegant events, and a great group of taste makers that will show their talents and ideas with flowers and interior design. The general public is always invited to events like this, and the cost of admission is $15.00. But, if you are a member, you get in free. Also, there will be an exceptional group of vendors that will have some unique objects of art for sale. It makes us all proud that this event supports the many educational programs at the Gardens. So, go by and see the Garden Center at its best Thursday, October 1, through Sunday, October 4.  P.S.: If you go and are not a member, buy a membership and get in for the cost of the membership. The membership will also allow you into the many “members only” events happening at the Gardens throughout the year.
